In the second staff picks of the year we have put in the background a small homage to the spring: a picture representing “Il ratto di Proserpina”, a sculture made by famous Italian sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Proserpina is herself Persefone, the goddess who revives nature in Spring season. A small homage to the flowering season and this great artist, and of course the amazing releases opening this season.

Mary Yuzovskaya – The More You Know [Monday Off]


Monday Off’s label boss Mary Yuzovskaya is back on her own home with a solo EP after 2022. Deep and intense techno rooted by forceful kick drums, flawless rhythms and uplifting warm synths sequenced with majesty, all wrapped by wonderful soundscapes. Release date April 26th.

Coefficient – Ultimata [Knotweed Record]


Latest release on Philippe Petit’s Knotweed Records is delivered by one of the most talented artist within the sci-fi techno squad: Coefficient. The producer here found a great gimmick between sequenced wicked synths and a well-researched sound design to real fit the sound of Knotweed and still keep its own spacey vibes.

Neel – Disco Quarantine [Interdimensional Transmissions]


Italian techno-engineer Neel is back with a solo EP on the 53th release for Interdimensional Transmissions. A 4/4 techno tracker inspected to shake any dancefloor for different circumstances. Full-on bass hypnotic techno arrows with an acidic touch that never disappoints.

Elisa Bee – I Love Acid 29 [I Love Acid]


Sardinian native Elisa Bee is out with a great EP on I love Acid for their 29th release. This is a dancefloor filler, 4 superb acid tracks, driven with elegance and well written on the rhythmic grooves there. A perfect conjunction between House and Techno beats. A recommended release for any DJ and record collectors.

Sciahri & CONCEPTUAL – Ritmo Oscuro [Non Series White]


Florence based artist Sciahri and Apulian native Conceptual based in Berlin joined forces for this massive, obscure yet highly recommended release on sub label Non Series White run by Psyk. This Ep is definitely one of the most liked by our staff. Intense and properly executed by the Italian duo in which we can feel the perfect fusion between the two styles. Well-executed the break beat remix by LDS, precisely made to push variety into dance floor and explore diverse atmospheres.

Various – Lunae [012]


Latest release on Claudio PRC’s label is an ensemble between deep and dub techno. Flawless productions by talented artists like Daniel[i], Vera Logdanidi and Blazej Malinowski and a polished execution by label head himself Claudio. In each tracks you can feel the depths and the magnificent feelings spread during the whole listening. Highly recommended for warm and deep techno lovers.

Hugo Rolan – Proceso Atemporal [Abstract Mechanisms]


Another great favorite by Hugo Rolan is out. Illegal Alien’s sub-label Abstract Mechanisms gives welcome to this great talent with a 10” transparent record and 4 spacey, stellar tracks. The spanish talented producer is doing a great climb rise and this one is another proof of his techniques. Nice ambient scapes and settled sci-fi synths.

Debut release for the new project by Lewis Fautzi on his own label Faut Section. New modeled acid synths with a pinch of electro swing inside is a fresh facade for the label and some good freshness spread by the already well-known artist.
