“Maia and Volcano”, opera by Bartholomäus Spranger, represents our third “Staff Picks” of the year. Maia, one of the fertility Goddesses, is hardly connected with the God Volcano which offers her any 1st May a pregnant sow so that the ground would be fecund for everybody, therefore a reawaken of spring and all of its fruits.

Ten years after the Finnish sound artist Olli Aarni is back on Dauw with a full length release with 2 pieces where tapeloops are the main center of it. Enchanting recordings make up an immersive experience for the listener, where several textures and white noises lead to a focused but soft journey.

Various: Quindici [Attic Music]


Attic music is delighted to celebrate his 15th birthday with this awesome various. Label owner Fabrizio Lapiana invites for this celebration some of the greatest producer of the scene and great talents as well. Pfirter – Synchronic [Mindtrip]


For its 75th release Mindtrip welcomes its own head-label Pfirter with Kaiser on remix duties. The whole EP is characterized by Pfirter expertise with his minimalistic view of techno: forceful and brutal kick drums lead the composition, to then go furthermore into the depths of techno with marvelous arranged synths. Kaiser’s remix is a timing-groovy bomb to spread chaos on the dancefloors. The Italian producer, with his unmistakable style, confirms again his wonderful skills.
