For the tenth episode of our series we are honored to welcome Jonas Kopp—an Argentine artist with over two decades of experience and a key figure in the contemporary techno scene. His extensive and multifaceted discography has helped shape a deep and unmistakable sonic path. Among his most iconic releases stand out “Beyond The Hypnosis” and “Photon Belt”, two remarkable albums released on Tresor Records—the legendary label that also hosted him as a resident for five years.
In 2018 he founded Tremsix, a platform through which he continues to release his own productions and collaborate with like-minded artists, maintaining a sonic vision that is both personal and outside the mainstream. We must also mention his work on Untidy Wax, Osmosis Records, and his many cryptic aliases—a true creative force capable of balancing prolific output with remarkable consistency.
Jonas Kopp is much more than just a DJ or producer: he is a sound researcher, a frequency explorer, a multidisciplinary artist who sees music as a tool for spiritual and perceptual transformation.
In this interview he shares his journey through techno, consciousness, and vibration, revealing the vision that drives his work between the visible and the invisible. Jonas recorded an exclusive one-hour mix, featuring his own productions alongside tracks by Oscar Mulero, Surgeon, Psyk, Orbe, and many more.
Have a good reading and listening!

☉ If you had to introduce yourself to someone who doesn’t know you, how would you describe your artistic profile?
“I am a human being named Jonatan Kopp, known as Jonas Kopp. As a child, I danced and listened to music, and by the age of twelve I started DJing. Now, at 44, I’m still on that path.
I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with many artists and clubs I once dreamed of. I was a resident at Tresor from 2014 to 2019, played at Berghain between 2009 and 2013, and released two LPs on Tresor—Beyond The Hypnosis and Photon Belt.
In 2018, I founded my own techno label TREMSIX, where I continue to publish my sonic research and creations to this day.
Currently, I’m diving into scientific exploration using sound as a source for transforming consciousness, energy, and matter. I believe the universe, and all that exists—organic, intelligent life included—was created through sound. Now, I’m studying how my sonic work affects global society: transforming degenerative processes into regenerative ones, converting holoquantum pollution into new crystalline photonic particles, purifying spaces and ecosystems via specific frequencies and tones… and beyond.”
☉ Few years ago you announced a break from music on social media. What motivated your return?
“At that time, I was deeply confused, somewhat dissociated, and essentially fragmented. When this happens, external ideas and realities infiltrate your inner world, commandeering your quantum field and leading to decisions that aren’t truly yours. That confusion prompted a short, six-month break during the pandemic. I didn’t lose anything—instead, I gained clarity, understanding, and a new direction. I reconnected with myself and found my original life path.“
☉ How would you describe your spiritual connection with music? When did you realize that spirituality is deeply linked to your musical expression?
“This spiritual connection continues to grow. As your consciousness expands freely—without limits or blocks—you become more sensitive and perceptive. When you reach a level of self-awareness and truly understand who you are as a human being, you grasp the essence of sound and music. You realize that everything is frequency, movement, and vibration. This is what we call “music” but I prefer to define it as a “mobile frequency structure.”
☉ You’ve said that music is a tool for transformation. What do you mean by that in relation to your personal and artistic journey?
“It’s all about frequency ranges. For example, if your energy field vibrates at 500 Hz and you listen to a mobile frequency structure at 3,000 Hz, that higher frequency will reprogram your field, speeding up your cells. This acceleration produces a general feeling of lightness and vitality. With faster frequencies, our cells and fields feel lighter—approaching light rather than matter. Our entire bioenergetic system becomes illuminated.”

☉ Tremsix is so special in today’s scene: high-quality releases that don’t follow trends. Is releasing only in digital format creative or pragmatic?
“Thank you for recognizing Tremsix. I pour immense energy into maintaining a weekly release schedule, ensuring each output is thoughtfully curated while challenging myself with new structures, tones, and frequencies.
I’m excited to collaborate with established techno artists like Divide, Oisel, Jamaica Suk and Oliver Rosemann, as well as to promote emerging talents. This creates a balanced offering for the label and its audience.
Right now, digital releases allow me to keep up that frequency and flexibility.”
☉ Your music is known for its complexity, originality, and prolific output. How would you describe your creative process and how do you keep it so active?
“Thank you. My ongoing scientific exploration through sound is the engine behind my creation process. As I deepen my understanding via sound design and critical listening, my sonic creations expand and grow in complexity. This continuous journey into sound is the core that guides me toward new destinations—unbound by time or space.”

☉ What are your main sources of inspiration—artistic, philosophical, spiritual—that guide your music production?
“One of my strongest influences is nature, existence, and the cosmos. I believe we can connect simultaneously with other forms of consciousness on this planet.
When creating sound structures, we can also engage in inner dialogues with ourselves—without needing words or limited language. That subtle yet powerful connection informs much of my work.”
☉ Having explored techno, ambient, and house, is there another genre or style you’d like to experiment with?
“Yes. I’m intrigued by the idea of fusing all these genres into a single transcendental sound-art project—featuring live musicians, choirs, electroacoustic elements, and perhaps even nature itself, like birds or dolphins—to create something truly organic and unique.”

☉ How did the idea of producing artworks and holograms under your alias “Animus” come about? What role does the visual component play in your overall vision?
“Animus is the visual extension of my sonic expression on TREMSIX. A hologram is an audiovisual concept. Today, we perceive sound separate from images, and vice versa. But in reality, sound contains images, and images contain sound. Once our brains expand to their natural capacity, we’ll be able to perceive everything in its full, undivided form—without fragmentation or interference.“
