Piuma: first edition with Luigi Tozzi, Laura BCR, Mattikk & more.

Piuma: first edition with Luigi Tozzi, Laura BCR, Mattikk & more.

The first Piuma event set a strong foundation for what feels like the start of something lasting. There was a real sense of care behind the night—thoughtfully curated, personal, and refreshingly welcoming. Founders and brothers Sean and Brian (DHN) brought not only skill but warmth—the kind of energy that is magnetic and naturally brings people together.
The space was filled with a wide mix of faces—some familiar, mostly new—but united by a shared focus on the music. No obvious “scene,” just people who wanted to listen, move, and be present.

Luigi Tozzi [Live]
“Luigi Tozzi’s live set was another standout moment. His control of dynamics and layering created a hypnotic tension that carried from start to finish. Even with the venue packed and fully immersed, there was a calmness in the way he delivered the set—focused, grounded, and euphoric.
The rhythms had weight, but nothing felt heavy-handed. Just well-placed detail, subtle shifts, and a solid sense of direction. The closing minutes, where he transitioned into more broken rhythms, was a satisfying way to close it out.
I always get excited to see live sets—there’s something riveting about the sense of improvisation and deep technical understanding of how to build a set that always amazes me, and clearly Luigi is a master at this craft.”

Mattikk [Vinyl Set]
“Mattikk delivered a solid, focused set—deep techno, full of low-end groove and spatial tension. It felt mechanical, but in an equally organic way, and he kept the floor moving consistently. Known for his label work and precision behind the decks, this set stayed true to form.”

Tracks included:
Frozen Border – 3.1
Psyk – Ritmico

Laura BCR
“Laura BCR closed the night with a driving, immersive set full of sharp percussion and atmospheric depth. She knew how to work the floor with trippy, high-energy tracks that held attention.
It felt like there were some unreleased gems in there—heavy grooves and textures that stood out. She kept the room locked in with a steady sense of momentum. It was a strong closing set that left the room buzzing.”

Tracks included:
Psyk – Scope Drift
Na Nich – Crust
Markus Suckut – Tunnel

DHN [Vinyl Set]
“DHN followed with a vinyl-only set that moved from house and electro into groovier, deeper, acid-leaning territory. Their transitions were tight and fluid—evolving in tempo slowly throughout the set. It was clear they had prepared with care, but they told me afterwards they still left space for spontaneity, throwing in a few wildcard records to keep things exciting.
The energy on the dancefloor shifted gradually. What started as polite movement turned into real momentum—smiles, connection, a shared rhythm. Their chemistry behind the decks was evident: a visible synchronicity and seemingly telepathic understanding. Well-timed builds, instinctive flow, and a deep, considered selection.”

Tracks included:
Merv – Embrace
Redshape – Path
Bluetrain – Precious Times
Nuno Dos Santos – Backside Disaster
Steve Parker – Wave Pulse
Christian Morgenstern – 1969
Reeko – Phenomena Arise

Radiice [Live]
“Radiice opened the night with a live performance that stood out immediately—both sonically and visually. Using a self-built instrument made from carved marble, played with a bow and run through a chain of pedals and processing, his set was textural, immersive, and atmospheric.
There was a physical weight to the sound—low-end rumbles, metallic echoes, and waves of aquatic, swampy textures. A slow, peaceful start that pulled people into listening mode right away. It felt experimental and organic—and well executed.”

ph: Olivia Mulready

“Piuma set a solid foundation: a well-paced lineup, strong programming, and a crowd that actually listened. You could tell this wasn’t just about throwing a party—it was about building something genuine and meaningful. There was a certain cohesion in talent and sound that really impressed me—especially for a first-ever Piuma event.” – Olivia Mulready
