Naturalis: shaping a temporary ecosystem in Southern Italy

Naturalis: shaping a temporary ecosystem in Southern Italy

Now in its third edition, Naturalis Festival reaffirms itself as a necessary point of reference in redefining the relationship between sound, body and environment.

From June 5 to 7, 2026, the spaces of Umoya Experience, located within the Ecoparco del Mediterraneo in Castel Volturno, will transform into a temporary ecosystem — an evolving organism shaped by principles of coexistence and gradual transformation.

The choice of location is not merely aesthetic, but reflects a precise intention of integration. Originally developed through a rigorous environmental recovery project, the Ecoparco now exists as a hybrid space where nature and culture operate in continuous dialogue. Paths, lakes and educational areas do not function as backdrop, but as structural elements within an experience that encourages deceleration and awareness.

The festival’s sonic narrative unfolds across three stagesFire, Earth and Water — designed to sustain a continuous acoustic flow. The curatorial approach avoids the fragmentation typical of large-scale events, favouring extended DJ sets and fluid transitions, allowing the music to develop organically over time.

The 2026 lineup reflects a measured balance across different sonic trajectories: Friday’s opening is entrusted to the long-form selections of Jane Fitz and Vladimir Ivkovic, both known for navigating the outer edges of house, techno and psychedelia. Across the following days, the programme brings together key figures such as Craig Richards, Courtesy, DJ Hell, Kenny Larkin, Lena Willikens and Ivan Smagghe.

Particular attention is given to live performances, forming the festival’s experimental core. Artists performing live include Plaid, Random Factor, Hong Kong-based producer XIAOLIN, and dub pioneers Moritz von Oswald & Tikiman. These performances extend the sonic inquiry towards more abstract and forward-facing territories.

Naturalis will also develop a cultural programme focused on electronic music and contemporary culture. The programme, to be announced in the weeks leading up to the festival, will include a series of talks addressing the evolution of club culture, the relationship between music and space, and the transformation of the festival experience.

Alongside this, the Food Village curated by Raraterra will present a selection of local food partners, with a focus on food quality and spanning vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free offerings.
Camping and glamping solutions function as extensions of the experience itself, shaping a temporary community that shares both space and rhythm. Between sets, the swimmable lake and the presence of wellness-oriented practices provide moments of decompression, while maintaining a clear focus on the centrality of sound.

Naturalis proposes a conscious model of participation: a clearly defined trajectory that resonates for its ability to generate meaning within a territory undergoing active cultural transformation.
